The Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting 2009 is fast approaching. The 21st CHOGM will be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The Commonwealth Conversation is being conducted online to help inform Commonwealth governments about key issues for the Commonwealth prior to the CHOGM. We would like to ensure that local government is high on the agenda for discussion. Join the debate on why local government matters to the Commonwealth, the importance of local government in development, local democracy, citizen engagment and improving people's lives. The outcomes of this discussion will feed into the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office position on the Commonwealth and more generally the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting between 27-29 November. |
